Perfect conditions greeted the start of the 2011 road racing season in Galway this afternoon with the first running in the Resolution Run 5KM in and around Renmore. Over 120 athletes & walkers lined up in dry & bright conditions. The race started, as advertised, at 1:11 PM and the winners crossed the line less than 16 minutes later.

Congrats to the race organisers on a perfectly run event. Another worthy addition to the local calendar. The bandwagon now rolls onto The Fields in less than two days time!
