** Full provisional result now attached v2 **

It was breezy (i.e. the wind really whipped up during the race) and was a bit damp (i.e. poured cats and dogs and other animals) but it did not dampen the spirits in Annaghdown last Friday evening (21 June) for the 7th running of their mid-summers evening 10KM.

Pride of our place must go to our Sinead Foran who broke 40 for the first time, with some help from our ace pacemaker, Jane Ann Meehan.  For a woman whose previous PB for 10KM was 41:07 to dip under 40 with no intermediate steps in-between is even more sensational.  Much kudos...with more to come!

There was a good club representation with many of the usual suspects finishing: Somers, Lundon and Sullivan - all who are fighting it out at the top of the 2013 Club Member of the Year standings.  Ms. Quinn ran for two and finished not too much the worse for wear too - fair play.

One stalwart remains, who's completed in all 7 iterations of this excellent event.  False modesty prevents me from saying who though - one second faster in 2013 than he was back in 2007 too ;-).
