This is an especial favourite race of Athenry AC, and a chance for anyone to win, once you know your own pace.  The race is organised by a very good friend of the club's too, Dave Huane.

There are a few local athletes who are very expert at judging their own pace, namely (Big) Michael Walsh of Craughwell AC and (Bald) Brendan Monaghan of Tuam AC.
