Athenry Community Games win Mayor’s Award

Athenry Community Games has won a coveted Mayor's Award in the “Sports Category" at a gala Awards Ceremony held at the Loughrea Hotel & Spa tonight.

This Award is a huge tribute to the many people who have served as volunteers with Athenry Community Games & Parish Sports since it's formation in

1957, all the local Clubs, Schools, the team managers and coaches. This Award is a fitting tribute to all those wonderful people who have given so

much time and dedication to the children of Athenry. Athenry Community Games was represented at the Awards Ceremony by Joe Hansberry (Chairman),

Peter Lyons (Secretary), Stephanie O'Regan (Treasurer) & Gerry Ahern who nominated Athenry Community Games for the award
