The 2014 Achill Half, Full and Ultra Marathons will take place on Saturday, 23rd of August on the wild and westerly island of Achill.
Achill Island is Ireland's largest island and sits off the west coast of County Mayo. Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and linked to the mainland by the Michael Davitt bridge; Achill is a paradise for runners. Mountain, bog & fantastic coastal views will create a spectacular backdrop for this challenging event.
With three distances to choose from, there's something to suit all levels:
Half marathon 13.1 miles
Full marathon 26.2 miles
Ultramarathon 39.3 miles
The races are open to everyone; men and women, runners and walkers, newcomers and nutters! This event is organized by runners and every effort is being made to ensure that all our participants needs are looked after.
