Charity Race - Permit sponsored by GCH.

This is the sixth year of the popular and successful Clarenbridge 10km Charity Run/Walk. 

The picturesque race route has been accurately measured, is AAI approved, and will be chip timed this year with results published online and also via text message. Registration will take place from 10.30am - 12.00pm with race beginning at 12.30pm, 23rd of November, 2014. There will be post-race refreshments available to all, as well as showering facilities and prize presentation in the swimming pool complex.

Prizes for 1st & 2nd Male and Female, 1st Male 40 and 1st Female 40, Spot prizes for walkers.

The primary purpose of this race is to raise funds for the Irish Pilgrimage Trust Fund, which is a registered charity in Ireland. See irishpilgrimagetrust.com.

Here's the Route!

The race will start outside the small chapel beside Kilcornan swimming pool, in the Brothers of Charity grounds, where it will head west through the Kilcornan complex for 500 metres, turning left at the gate on to the main road, continue for approx 200m, turning left, which will bring the race in through the wood. At the end of the wood take a right hand turn and continue for 500m, turn left and continue for 1k, turn right again and continue for 1.3k and another right turn for 1k, right again for 100m and then left back in towards the swimming pool complex/finish line approx. 3.2k. The course is a relatively flat route with a few rises.
