The Allianz Resolution Run is a 5K road-race that takes place in Galway City on New Year’s Day.  On-line entry http://www.runireland.com/events/allianz-resolution-run.  Race number pickup is open from 11:00 to 12:30 on Dominic Street and the Race will start at exactly 1:00pm.  This year continues along the new course which starts and finishes at the Spanish Arch, includes Shop street and passes most of the city's famous landmarks along the way. 

Entries are limited to 500 and entry fee is €20.  The first 200 on-line entrants will receive a souvenir technical tee shirt and all others will receive a souvenir headband.  Entries will be available on the day and all of these will receive a souvenir headband.  Juvenile runners (aged between 14 and 18) are invited to enter the race at the reduced rate of €10.  All juvenile entrants will receive a souvenir technical tee shirt.

The race is AAI certified and has been officially measured with a Jones Counter. All participants will be chip timed by Red Tag Timing.

Individual results will be sent out via text and all results will be available on www.redtagtiming.com and on this website shortly after the race finish.

The route is suitable for runners and walkers of all abilities. It is a very flat course with the maximum height gain being 15 metres.

First prize will be awarded in the following categories: Male and Female Senior (first, second and third), V40, V50, V60 and Juvenile.  

There will be teas, coffees and snacks available for all participants in Monroe's Tavern after the race. Presentation of prizes will take place there at 2:30 pm!

Please note that there will be no changing facilities or showers available.  Roads will not be closed for the event, however there will be marshals at all junctions.

The run is being organized by volunteers from Monivea Rugby Club and Renmore Gymnastics Club.  A donation from the profits will be made to the Galway Hospice Foundation.
