PREDA GALWAY 5k Run for Freedom

If you have the freedom to run, why not run for freedom?

PREDA is a Philippines based children's charity which strives to free children from adult prisons and rescue them from exploitation. We are grateful for the support the work of the PREDA GALWAY team enjoys LOCALLY.

Our fourth annual PREDA GALWAY 5k Run for Freedom takes place at 12noon on Saturday March 21st 2015 at the world-famous Ballybrit Racecourse in Galway.

Fr. Shay Cullen, PREDA founder and multiple Nobel Peace Prize nominee, will be in Galway supporting the run this year,

This is a charity run and is open to all - from club runners to joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities. There will be ample free parking, toilet facilities and loads of refreshments after the race. This year all finishers will have an opportunity to win one of a variety of spot prizes. All profits from the run go directly towards the work of PREDA in the Philippines.

Last year’s Run for Freedom was well supported. This year we have made some changes which, hopefully, will make the event more attractive. We have improved the route. The run will start in the main carpark, will take in two laps of the tarmac track around the racecourse and finish in front of the Grand Stand. It is chip-timed, Jones counter measured and an Athletics Ireland permit, sponsored by Clare River Harriers, has been granted.
