The Galway Indoor Track and Field Championships take place on Sunday 15th January at the Athlone International Arena.  The County Championship provides a full indoor programme for senior athletes  – 60m, 60mH, 200m, 800m, 1000m Walk, 3000m, Shot, High Jump, Long Jump and 4x200m Relay.  All track events are electronically timed.  The 3000m may be of particular interest to those who are preparing for races in the early spring and will allow you to set a time on one of the finest running surfaces in the world.  The track at AIT holds an IAAF certification, and has attracted some of the worlds top athletes to the annual AIT Grand Prix, it is fast and perfect to see just what you can achieve and just how fast you can go.

As this is a county championship event,  club members are asked to support this if where possible.

Entries are due by midnight on Friday 6th January and can be made through club secretaries.
