Another Tuesday evening in May, another new route for the 5k series. Despite the wind, which couldn't make up it's mind on which way to blow, Loughea's new loop through the town was well received with many claiming it to be a fast course. Daragh Larkin of Craughwell AC took the honours on an evening when Athenry AC fielded an astonishing 93 members, three of whom were Top 10, with Gearoid Rohan coming second. A fantastic showing by the club.

Maire Treasa Beatty made a welcome return to the series after a three year absence whilst Gary Doherty retains his status of series stalwart (53 races), running every race since its inception in 2006.
