The first leg of the Galway 5km series 2010 takes place this Tuesday.

The series has been a sell out for weeks, indeed all entries were taken in 2 hours.

No entries will be taken on the night, nor indeed at ANY of the races on the night this year.

The year we'll have chip timing [gun to finish], so remember to keep your chip and race number for all races.



Your chip should be looped through your laces as per the instructions in your race pack.

The race in Newcastle starts at 7:45 sharp, so please arrive out to Newcastle in plenty of time to collect your race pack.



We'll be there from 6:30 to distribute race packs.

PARKING: Parking is very limited in Newcastle, and indeed at most of the race venues.

• Car pool with friends and clubmates -
• If you're travelling without a full car, meet at Joyce's Car Park in Athenry at 6:40 where Jane-Anne Healy will make sure only full cars leave for Newcastle.
• Follow stewards instructions.
• Arrive Early.
