A little belated but here are the Galway County Track and Field results for 2011 (Thursday 16th, 23rd and 30th June).

As home to the 'fastest white man in the world', Paul Hession, Athenry AC have their own track claim to fame, but numbers participating from the club weren't high this year.

Brian Bruton placed well in a competitive men's 5000m on night 1. Alan Burke picked up a bronze medal, while managing to avoid the dreaded DFL in a small field in the men's 400m on night 1, and had a solid run in the 1500m on night 2.
