Beautiful weather conditions matched the superb condition of the palace grounds in Tuam for this years County cross country. James Lundon and co. had precedings running like clockwork, great organisation by all involved

Some fantastic juvenile races kept us entertained prior to the adult events. Emma Moore (Caroline's daughter) stormed home in the U12's while Tomas and Jane Mangans sons Geordan and Fabien were in flying form also to name but a few.

Our ladies adult team of Caroline Moore, Claire Forde, Mary Rohan and Jane Ann Healy ran superbly. Jane Ann, leading from the off finished in pole position with a commanding win. A fantastic result considering its peak long mile training for DCM the past few weeks. Shannon Lee U18 also ran alongside the senior ladies and finished a superb 3rd. Caroline Moore was delighted with her time of 17.20 over the 4km route as it has been a number of years since she has run cross country.

Our men's team of Patrick Forde, Darragh McShane, James Lundon and Gearoid Rohan were all well pleased with their performances. It was great to field both women's and men's teams so a big thanks to those who took part in what really was a top class event!

Thanks to Gearoid Rohan (Men's Captain) for race report.
