The Galway Senior Track & Field Championships for 2008 will resume this coming Thursday for the second of three evening's scheduled competition. Events on the track will be the 100/110m hurdles, 200m, 1500m, 4x400 and the thowers will take their turn with the javelin.

There was a great night's competition on the 19th of June and another enjoyable evening of friendly competition is anticipated on Thursday.

Field: Discus, Long Jump

July 3rd @ 8pm
Track: 100/110m hurdles, 200m, 1500m, 4x400
Field: Javelin

July 17th @ 8pm
Track: 400m, 5000m, 4x100
Field: High Jump, Shot Putt

Competition open to all athletes aged 16 and over.

All athletes must be registered to Athletics Ireland.

Championship medals to Galway athletes only.

Guests from outside Galway very welcome and actively encouraged.

On-the-day entries welcome

As last year, entry is €5 per event or €15 for the series. (ie 15 euro covers entry for any number of events, but athlete must specify which events they will compete in.)
