Superlatives just don't do this man justice! For the third time this year Athenry AC's Paul Hession has again lowered the national 60m record when clocking the second fastest time overall in the 60m 1st round heats at the European Indoor Championships this morning. He crossed the finish line alongside Britains Craig Pickering, the fastest man in Europe this year, to post an extraordinary time of 6.61 seconds. Paul followed up that incredible performance by qualifying for the European Indoor Championship 60m final by finishing 4th in the semi-final in 6.64 seconds. It is an incredible achievement for Paul to make the final and now that he's there - who knows what can happen. The final is scheduled for 4.20 tomorrow (sunday) afternoon and is live on RTE.
