The coaches, mentors and supporters of Athenry's juvenile section are delighted to have completed work on a brand new long jump run-up and landing pit. The facility, in the grounds of Athenry FC, has an astroturf run-up and is built to international competition standard.

This new facility will be of huge benefit to our under-age athletes and and no doubt will contribute to further success in the near future. Billy Caulfield, Dermot McNamara, Martin Hynes, Pat Kelly, Myles Murphy, Frank Duane and Padraig Grady all worked tirelessy to put this facility in place in record time and at minimum cost. The club also extends it's thanks to Athenry FC for their help and co-operation, especially Peter Gilhooley and Tommy Fahy.
