Scene setting:
October 27th 2009. A beautiful, young (okay, disheveled, thirty something) woman limps into a confessional. A priest draws back the shutter.

Watch The Dublin City Marathon on Setanta

Will Downing has been in touch to let us know about Setanta Sports coverage of this year's Dublin City Marathon in which so many Galway runners took part.

As is usual these days the coverage is repeated at various times on various channels and I've pasted below the full schedule of repeats.

The programme going out this week is a 30-minute one concentrating on where the two main races and Irish titles were won.

There's a second highlights programme from Saturday that concentrates on the "colour" of the event, the club athletes and fun runners - and that's an hour long.

Athenry AC at the Dublin City Marathon

The big day is over, and there are some very happy marathoners parting the night away in Dublin.

Well done to you all - it was a hell of a lot easier spinning around on the bike shouting encouragement than doing any running.

Well done to the rest of the Galway contingent, big crowds from GCH and Craughwell, and a few Tuam, Loughrea, CRH singlets thrown in for good measure.

A beautiful evening in Danagn led to some fantastic running.
A big well done to everyone who took part, and thank you to the crew who helped out on the night.

Announcing the 2009 Fields of Athenry 10km

It's that of the year again, when we at Athenry AC start gearing up for our annual 10km race. This race has grown in popularity over the years, as a mini running boom continues in the West of Ireland. We do our best to provide a top-quality race, that has something for all levels from International athletes to people taking on their first 10km race. Entry Fee: €20
