The 9th running of the Fields of Athenry 10km will take place on St. Stephen's day, December 26th at 11am.
Over the last number of years this has has become one of the leading road races in the country, and this year we aim to raise the bar higher. The race returns to its now traditional route, finishing under the medival arch in Athenry.

It's cross-country time again and this years Galway cross-country championships will be held in Bushfield, Loughrea on Saturday the 9th of October 2010 at 01:00pm.
Athenry AC and Galway Tri Club On TV
Just to let you know that Deirdre Hasset and Galway Tri Club and Athenry AC track session - filmed last December will be appearing on Meon na mBan next Wednesday the 29th September at 8:30pm.
The episode is entitled Slainte and follows two women on the subject of health. It does have subtitles!
People from the clubs might be interested in trying to spot themselves variously bobbing down the pool and/ or circling the track!

Castledaly APA 8KM results
A lovely event and a pity there wasn't a bigger turnout of
runners but there was a lot of other things on that day. My
first top-10 finish too. The less said about that the better
when one considers the time I "ran" :].
Michael Shannon and Bernie Kelly(!) won the two crystal prizes on
offer.
A dry afternoon for the race, with flawless organisation from
registration right through to on the course itself, to the finish
line and the refreshments afterwards served by Marguerite Brady

Congrats to clubmate Janet Clancy for running both in Coole that morning and a very few hours later in the club's 5KM championship!
Ballina 10KM results
Gerry Ryan of Craughwell AC continued his rich vein of form in the recent Ballina 10KM road race! John Byrne was second while two local runners filled the third and fourth positions. Mary Gleeson ran a very useful time in easily winning the women's race.
