It's every athlete's target to improve race on race, and Paul Hession is certainly doing that at the moment.

He picked up his second national title in a new national record time, the best European performance this year.

His time of 20.30 is world class and he can go into next month's World championships with a real sense of confidence, and every chance of success.

Also representing Athenry AC was Claire McNamara who finished 6th in the high jump.
