Paul Hession's World Athletics adventure starts in the early hours of Tuesday morning Irish time. Paul goes in heat 5 of 6 which is scheduled for 11:42am Osaka time which is 03:42am Irish time. The first four in each heat will progress to the next round automatically with eight 'fastest losers' slots also on offer. Whilst absolutely nothing is guaranteed at this level of competition Paul must be hopeful of making progress to the next stage of the competition. Of the eight other athletes in his heat only Rodney Martin of the USA has run faster this season.
