Please find attached a final set of results for Day 2 of the Galway Track and Field championships.  The 5000m result has been slightly ammended to remove an athlete who appeared in the results by mistake and also to add Sean McDermott from Castlegar who had been omitted.  The 5000m results has been checked and double checked now so all should be in good order.

Apologies that we were not able to give out track medals on the night for any of the races.  A computer failure during the second race of the mens 200m Masters race meant we had to switch to our backup computer which is normally used for result generation.  As age categories were mixed for most races it was not easy to pull out race winners at the track side.  We decided therefore to not hand out medals, so that in case of error we were not looking to take medals back of people and give them to someone else.  Medals will be available on the third night of competition (22nd July) and after that any unclaimed medals will be passed to club secretaries to distribute.

In the Masters 35 category for the 200m, we were not able to assign times to finishers for the second heat due to the computer crash, although we had the finishing order of the top 4 athletes.  Normally we would almagamate times across heats to come up with the overall medal result, but unfortunately this is not going to be able to be done in this case.  Therefore the top three finishers in each heat will now go through to a 200m final which will be the first event on track on 22nd July.

If you need anything in the results to be ammended then please leave a comment below.
