Our very own, BMW drivin', cross country runnin', beer drinkin', smoke smokin', all 'round good guy John O'Connor is running the Berlin Marathon next September to raise funds for the West of Ireland Cardiology Foundation which is much better known as Croi. As part of the dreaded fundraising process he has to undergo to take part in the race he'll be hosting a barbeque in O'Connell's bar in Eyre Square, Galway on Friday the 17th of August at 7:30pm.

Johnny has promissed 'entertainment' on the night, which I'm semi-reliably told will include a rendition of Molly Malone by James Lundon, a ballet masterclass given by none other than Owen Curran and a seminar on how to complete an Ironman Triathlon whilst in extreme pain provided by Seb Locteau.

Tickets are available from John himself, Ray O'Connor or Mick Rice and are a snip at Euro 20.00
