We asked everyone in the club to set three goals in running for the next year. Here's what the ones that answered the call came up with.

Brian Bruton

1. Run a Marathon in 2:39:00

2. Complete a 10 mile race in 0:57:00 min

3. Finish a 10k in less than 35 minutes.

Philip Magnier

1. Enjoy training.

2. Do a Sprint Triathlon.

3. Achieve a 1:30:00 half-marathon.

Peter Delmer

1. To complete 40 miles in Connemara to celebrate my fortieth birthday.

2. To run a new marathon personal best.

3. To enjoy every step and discover what it is I'm running towards.

James Lundon

1. Break 20 minutes in four of the five Galway 5KM series races.

2. Give 3:40:00 a good crack in Dublin.

3. 1000 miles in training over the year again.

Maria Hehir

1. To complete 10k in under 50 minutes.

2. Complete the Connemara Half Marathon.

3. Run at least one marathon.

Ray O’Connor

1. Complete 10 marathons in 10 Days Challenge.

2. Run an Ultra Marathon.

3. Run 3:20 in London.

Robert Staunton.

1. Sub 60mins for 10 miles

2. Sub 80mins for half marathon

3. Sub 2:50 for full marathon

Alan Burke

1. Hit these target times (800m 2:05, 1500m 4:45, 1 mile 5:00, 5km 17:00, 10km 35:30, 10 miles 60:00, 1/2 marathon 1:20, Marathon 2:50)

2. For the club – Help Organise another good 5km series in May and keep the ‘show’ on the road.

3. Stay injury free.

David Dunne

1. Break 40 minutes for 10K hopefully in Athenry in April.

2. Break 8.30 for the HP race at Ballybrit.

3. Beat James Lundon more often than he beats me.

Frank Burke

1. Run under 20min for a 5k

2. Run under 40min for a 10k

3. Run a 3:15 marathon and qualify for entry to Boston in 2009!!!!

Maeve Noone

1. To run at least two half-marathons.

2. To break 50:00 for a 10km.

3. To beat Frank!!!!

Owen Curran

1. Keep running.

2. Get at least two marathons in.

3. Can’t say!

Iain Shaw

1. Sort out my own demons and finally get back running.

2. Complete the Connemarathon ‘Half’ in under 2 hours (that would be 28mins off of last year)

3. A 10km somewhere between 40:00 and 49.59 (makes me laugh even writing this !!!)

Paul McNamara

1. Sub 2:20 Marathon (as per last year).

2. Strong run at National 10km.

3. PB at half-marathon.

Paul Keane

1. Run Connemara again.

2. Complete some of the 5k series.

3. Fill this out again next year.

Mick Rice

1. Avoid serious injuries completely.

2. Break 8:00:00 for 100k.

3. Run a 24 hour race.

James Corbett

1. To complete at least two marathons.

2. To break 1:30 for the half marathon.

3. To get at least 5 pbs in 5 different distances.

John O'Connor

1. Train 250 days during the year

2. Get a training group to Cratloe Woods.

3. Run a sub 3:00 marathon and a sub 38:00 10km.

Plus......Beat J.A.L by 1 hour (in total) throughout the year :)

Seamie Gilhooley

1. Run best ever at intervarsities x-country.

2. Run 354 days in the year.

3. Run p.b's from 1500 -10k.

Martin Keane

One goal - Break 50 minutes for 10km. Again!
