Last nights race was hosted by Craughwell AC. 88 athletes from Athenry AC (1 less than last week!) donned the maroon and white for the second leg of the series. A total of 732 runners completed the 5km distance. There was a significant improvement in the weather from last week with some sunshine making pleasant and perfect running conditions! The route remained the same as last year, starting at the school and taking us through the village before turning left at the bottom of the hill and looping around finishing at the bridge in Ballywinna. As in previous years there was plenty of local support to cheer and encourage the athletes along the route!
