Mizuno Cork Half Marathon

St. Finbarr's A.C. is delighted to welcome Mizuno sports gear and equipment company on board as the new sponsor for the Cork Half Marathon for the 2006 and 2007 editions of the race. This is major boost to the half marathon which sees its 15th running in 2006.

Mizuno representative for Ireland Mark Stevens said the company were very enthusiastic about developing an association with the Cork Half Marathon which also combines the Cork County and Munster Championships.

The race route is run over a scenic course around the Blarney, Waterloo and Grenagh circuit just outside Cork city and is virtually traffic free.

The Cork Half Marathon has gone from strength to strength on recent years and has grown to around 400 runners with a total prize pool valued at €5000.

The race head quarters is at Blarney G.A.A. pavilion in Blarney village where ample car parking, showers, changing rooms and refreshments are available to all competitors.
