Hi All
I would like to thank everyone involved with the run. It was a nice course and very well organised. It was a lovely venue and very family orientated. Great day, thanks.

Martina, great race. Just one bit of constructive criticism.....a few people made a point that if instead of having 2 water stations in the first 5km perhaps having one @ 6km would be more beneficial or have 2 but spread out a bit more. Course was ideal for fast times & I'm sure next year numbers will double. Well done.

Not a bad race, but price is a little too high,20euros and all you get is a 3.99 water bottle as a gift.if your going to charge 20euros at least have t-shirts,too many races being ran now for money purposes only,so if you want to attract people and get a good race name at least up the value for money.

I think it's always useful to draw a a distinction between a 'for-profit' race and a fund-raising race. The Colemanstown race obviously falls into the second category and was generating funds for the club and the kids and adults who use the facilities there. Personally, I think it was reasonable value at Euro 20 and, anyone else I spoke to on the day felt the same. I understand the point that we're all looking for value for money these days, but value and price are not always the same thing. Organising a race like thisn takes a lot of collective effort and involves quite a lot of expense.

Well done to Martina and all the gang in Colemanstown for a great day out. Don't understand what all the nonsense is about the price. It was €15 on line and €20 on the day, which is dead in line with most other similar races. Excellent job done on the timing, the parking, the marshalling, and on the presence of the Red Cross. The course itself was a beautiful idyllic snap shot of late spring rural Galway on a perfect day. It was perfectly measured and was a good speed test. The food after was second to none. Where else would you get smoked salmon on home made brown bread after a race! I'd come back for that reason alone! Well done again. Already looking forward to 2012.

Enjoyed the race in Colemanstown and agree fully with the comments of Mick and Patrick.
When all the costs are taken into account----timing systems, printing of race numbers, drinks on the course, first aid services,post-race refreshments etc.----there will not be much left from the €20 entry fee.
If the results are to be available on-line on the evening of the race and you get your finishing time and position by text----remember that is not done for free!!!
Well done to Martina and her crew.
