Event Date

The IMRA Connaught Mountain running Championships are taking place on the August Bank Holiday weekend and will be based around the Delphi Adventure Centre. On August 2nd the formidable Croagh Patrick awaits. This race is also a counter for the Irish Championship and a win for legendary mountain runner John Lenihan will see him take the Irish Championship. The Second race is on Sunday is the grassier Ben Gorm starting from the Aisleigh Falls near Leenane.

Delphi are offering €30 per night B and B for any of the weekend nights until this Friday 14 July. Just say youre participating in the Connaught Championship (or either race).

Although Navigation is not essential runners should be competent (walking etc) in mountainous terrain.

Rain Jacket may be compulsory should conditions dictate.
