The Island Experience!
Entries are now open for the 4th Annual Inishbofin Half Marathon taking place from May 15th to 17th 2009! Set on the idyllic island of Inishbofin, a stunningly beautiful and tranquil island off the west coast of Ireland....this is a guaranteed weekend of fun and challenge. This event is offered as a weekend package, which includes 2-nights Bed & Breakfast and evening meals (Friday & Saturday), race entry, lunch on Saturday and return ferry transfers to and from Cleggan. The half marathon will take place on Saturday, May 16th, 10.00 am. The route offers stunning views from every side of the island and will be challenging!

Women’s Mini Marathon
The 2009 10K Women’s Mini Marathon takes place on June Bank Holiday Monday, 1st June in Dublin. This is the biggest all women’s event of its kind in the World with over 40,000 participants in 2008 raising millions of euro for charities. We are appealing for women to join the Croà team to raise vital funds for the prevention of Heart Disease in the West of Ireland. Your Croà entry pack contains an official entry form, sponsorship forms and race information. This year we are delighted to be supported by Bellissimo Hair, Health and Beauty Salon. All members of the Croà team will receive an official t-shirt and a Bellissimo Discount Voucher. The participant who raises the most funds will receive a Sheer Relaxation Package which includes a full body massage and facial. Prom Fun-Walk
The Annual Merlin Park Hospital Walkers & Friends 5 Mile Prom Fun-Walk, takes place on Sunday, May 3rd 2009, departing at 12 noon from Claddagh Hall. All levels of fitness can participate in this event and raise vital funds for the fight against heart disease. Lough Corrib Cycle
The Annual Croà Lough Corrib Cycle is a fun-cycle, offering the option of a 29-mile or a 75-mile route through scenic Connemara supporting the fight against heart disease. The event kicks off with a complimentary breakfast and cyclists depart Galway on a route through to Maam Valley (29-miles), and finishing back in Galway (75-miles). Last year, over 500 cyclists from all over Ireland participated in this fun cycle, which is fully supported with cycle repair crews, first aid and refreshment stations en-route. Now established as one of the biggest charity cycles in the West of Ireland, this event is a must for cycling enthusiasts (minimum age unaccompanied by an adult is 16). The event's main sponsor is Corrib Oil who have consistently & generously partnered with Croà since the first cycle in 1993.
