Three Athenry AC men featured on both evenings of the Galway Track and Field championships recently at Dangan. All three, Iain Shaw, Peadar Nugent, and Pearse Hunter, entered into the spirit of the championships by competing in a variety of events. Iain by the way is now best known as a field event man but in his prime he was a quality sprinter with a best 100m in less than 10.8.
