It's cross-country time again!

Time to get muck up to our oxsters running around in fields. True, cross-country isn't absolutely everyone's idea of a day out, but it can be great fun. The Co Galway cross-country races will take place next Sunday week, the 4th of October, in Tuam, and we hope that many Athenry AC members will take part to support their club teams. There are seperate men's and women's races and competition at grades from junior, novice and up to senior and veterans and so there should be something for everyone.

The adult races start at 02:00pm and all should be done and dusted within an hour. There are also juvenile races at U10,12,14,16 and 18 taking place on the same day at the same venue from 01:00pm.

In recent years these races have gone through something of a revival and there have been good numbers taking part so why not come along to Tuam on Sunday week and put your shoulder to the wheel for your club.

An enjoyable afternoon's running is guaranteed!
