The second Galway Cross Country Workshop will take place in Dangan next Saturday the 16th January 2010 at 12.00 noon at the University Sports Grounds in Dangan, Galway. This workshop is being organised as part of the Galway County Board's effort to encourage participation on Galway representative cross-country teams, but is suitable for all club cross-country runners.

All interested runners are welcome whether they intend to compete in cross-country again this season or not . The last edition of this workshop was an outstanding success and we had great feeback from all participants. If you didn't make it last time don't miss out this time around.

The workshop will be hosted by the regional development officer for the West of Ireland, Paul McNamara who is an experienced international cross country runner himself and will feature a session with James Geraghty. James is a an expert on sports nutrition and believes that good nutrition will have profoundly positive impact on running performance. James is a fully qualified Pharmacist and MD of Molloys Pharmacy Group www.molloyspharmacy.com. In addition to this, James is also a Ironman triathlete, he has big passion for sports nutrition and is working with Roscommon GAA and many Tri clubs around Ireland.

After the talking is done Paul McNamara will oversee a joint training session, specific to cross country running, for participants that wish to take part - bring yer spikes!
