Athenry's Paul Hession opens his season on Sunday with a road race in Manchester.

Not the Great Manchester Run, but the Great City Games which take place later that day on a specially constructed track in Manchester. Although listed to compete in the 100m, sources close to Athenry AC believe he will double up and take part in the 200m alongside Tyson Gay too.

This is Paul's first race fs the season which leads up to the European Championships in Barcelona later this year.
