Congratulations to Mick Rice for perfectly pacing around the Three Hour marathon people on Sunday in Limerick, going out in 1:29:46 and coming home in 1:29:41 (negative split of FIVE SECONDS) to record a 2:59:27.

However, special kudos must be given to a much more retiring member of the club who did a PB of over three minutes on the same course, Ed(ward) Egan. His time of 3:50:11 was agonisingly close to breaking 3:50 but I'm sure that he'll break that barrier before this year is out. I've been told that he's tackling the distance again very soon.

Truly a big man with a massive appetite for distance running.

Marie and Elaine have told their own story of Limerick elsewhere and I hope to get Ed in print very soon myself!
