"The Cork City Sports has always been a happy hunting ground for national sprint champion and record holder, Paul Hession, and the Athenry man will again compete against world class opposition over both 100m and 200m next weekend

Hession was 200m winner in Cork for five successive years until last year when he dead-heated with Brendan Christian (Antiqua & Barbuda) who won the prestigious America Trophy two years ago. The two renew rivalry again on Saturday at the CIT Athletic Stadium where Rondel Sorrillo (Trinidad & Tobago), former European Junior medallist, Luke Fagan, will provide stern opposition."
