Some brilliant performances put in again on a tough day.  Windy conditions led to some fun (for want of a better description) off-road sections on the bike.

Frank Burke 4:39:12 – 84th / 1407 - 28th MV40



Jim Leahy 4:47:06 – 114th / 1407 - 1st MV50



Ronan McCarthy 4:52:56 – 136th / 1407

Sub 5 in this race is a very good result so they are cracking times.

Kenneth O’ Hara 5:46:20 – 539th / 1407



Ollie Kyne 5:53:53 – 606th / 1407



Orla Stevens 6:08:17 – 750 / 1407 - 10th FV40

But the big news from the day was that Ronan McCarthy proposed to his better half on the finish line after bravely / stupidly (insert your own choice) carrying the engagement ring across 67km of cross country running / kayaking / bog crossing / mountain climbing & off road cycling & she, of course, said yes.  (I have it from a good source that the ring nearly ended up in the bottom of Killary Fjord after a bit of a scare in the kayak.)
