Whilst the country is experiencing some awful weather at the minute we are expecting a nice fresh morning on Thursday 26th for our annual Fields of Athenry 10km. It's looking like the worst of the weather will pass by this evening with a dry day tomorrow lasting through to Thursday afternoon.
We fully expect to begin as normal at 11.00am but this is Ireland, so should there be any sudden drastic change in the weather or should there be any issue with an overnight frost & we have to delay the race start we will issue a text to all participants early Thursday morning with an information update. This text will be issued to the mobile number which was submitted during registration.
As mentioned above this is just a contingency plan & we fully expect that the race will start on time. We look forward to seeing you on Stephen's Day, enjoy the turkey tomorrow.
