Loughrea Sign

A 5k Fun Run is planned for Loughrea on Friday the 7th of July next at 7:30 in the evening. TJ Beatty has organised this run for many years to accomodate a small group of American runners who tour Ireland and it alway turns out to be a highly enjoyable event. This is an opportunity to meet, greet and compete with our American cousins over a friendly 5k.

TJ has told me that the race will be very much along the informal lines adopted in the recent Galway 5K Series and this is one more opportunity for those runners who enjoyed those great evenings in May to take part again. Beginners and walkers are particularly welcome. There will be a prizegiving and presentation in the Arch Bar on Barrack Street after the race.
