Loughrea 2005
Loughrea 2005

There are two fine local road races coming up soon that deserve the support of all athletes.

The Killimor Four Mile Road Race (Co. Galway) is a superbly organised road race in the heart of the beautiful East Galway countryside and it takes place on the 24th of September next at 1:30pm. Directed by Thomas and Mary Porter this race invariably attracts a large field from all over the West of Ireland. This event always has a great atmosphere and runners of all ages and abilities are very well looked after. A race not to be missed. Full details are given below.

The Loughrea ‘5K’ is organised by Loughrea AC and is directed by Galway Athletics stalwart TJ Beatty. This race takes place on the 30th of September. Loughrea AC and TJ have been an integral part of the revival of senior athletics in Galway over the last five or six years and as such they surely deserve our support. This year's race is over the reduced distance of 5K due to local road works on the traditional course. Race details and an entry form are below and can also be viewed at www.loughreaac.com
