The statement below has just been released by the AAI and gives details of a series of meetings which are being run throughout the country to discuss Irish Athletics with those who matter most - the people involved at the 'grass roots'. This is you chance to have your say with the peope at the forefront of organising Irish Athletics and is therefore a great chance to stand up and air your views.

"The Athletics Association of Ireland are holding a series of seminars throughout the country during the month of October to highlight the future for the sport.

Brendan Hackett CEO of Athletics Ireland said “These seminars are designed to highlight the future for athletics within Ireland and to show where everyone who wants to be involved within athletics plays their part, It is vital as a sport that we take comments and contribution from our members and interested parties which in turn will enable us to deliver a plan that has the whole of athletics behind it and we can all move forward in tandem”
