Last race of the 2012 Galway 5KM Series is tomorrow evening in Tuam.  I've always liked Tuam but this time it's slightly different as the race is at the end of the series rather than at the beginning, as has been the case all years to date.

I am sure that the local club has all the stops pulled out for a super night's racing, and afters in the local hotel, just a short hop, skip and jump from the finish line.

Five races for a t-shirt.  I am looking forward to see it in person tomorrow.  Does anyone know the garish colour it will be this year yet ;-)?

Athenry AC have been strongly represented at all the races, with over 70 members finishing every race to date.  I do not see that changing tomorrow so there will be a lot of much-coveted series shirts making their way back to East Galway tomorrow evening, and I don't mean in the boot of Mick Rice's car either.

As for how I'm going, I won't know until I get past the traffic lights and pass the 4KM mark just before 20:16 tomorrow evening - you have all been warned.  That is when the fun and games will start in earnest.  I'm dreading it already.  My report on Craughwell still isn't written, but I will have to do something to celebrate my first sub-20 since October 2008!
