Every year in July the town of Headford plays host to the Headford 8k Charity Road Race. Now in its 9th year the race continues to grow in popularity and last year saw over 300 participants from all over the country taking part. All the proceeds from the race go to charities supporting children with Intellectual Disabilities.

The race has raised over €25,000 since it started and provides valuable additional funds to support children with disabilities in their own communities providing short breaks, respite and in-home supports.

This year’s race takes place on Saturday 6th July at 7PM in the town of Headford. Technical t-shirts for all entrants. Walkers are welcome. Refreshments after the race and lots of spot prizes!

Race prizes in many categories. Male & Female Junior, Senior, Vet 40, Vet 50 and Vet 60 – check the website for full details. Race fully insured and an approved AAI event.
