The event is now up on www.active.com at http://www.active.com/galway-galway/running/galway-5km-series-2015?int=

This year the organisers have provided the ability for people to edit their own entry details online (once they’ve secured an entry, of course) and even to transfer their entry to another person, up to and including the 17th of April, if that’s what they want to do.

The series is intended to be a ‘no frills’ series of races that provide a social opportunity to run in a competitive environment and where beginners are welcomed.

This year it is intended to provide each entrant with a race number bearing their first name and club affiliation - where applicable - and which is color-coded for gender, (blue for men and pink for women). This will facilitate the more accurate production of a race result.

In order that we can produce the most accurate and fair race-results possible, the organising group are asking clubs to actively discourage number swapping during this years’ series.
