Another great night out in Tuam last Tuesday as the second in the Galway May 5km Series for 2008 took place. Local organiser Brendan Monaghan and his dedicated crew of Tuam AC volunteers put on a great show and the race went off very well. At the very front of the field our very own Brian O'Connor crossed the line first and he had 263 enthusiastic souls trailing in his wake. This series has traditionally been very lucky with the weather and that lucky 'run' was extended last evening when all in attendance were able to enjoy the excitement of a road run in the comfort of beautiful early spring(!) weather.

There was another huge contingent of Athenry AC runners there on the night and it was fantastic to see such large numbers of people in Athenry colours enjoying the great atmosphere at this great series of races.

Our valiant results co-ordinator for the series, James Lundon, has produced a provisional result already and it's posted below. Rory Brennan of the host club along with Patricia Monaghan did the heavy lifting in recording the finishers and taking the times respectively. The result, as posted below, just gives finishing position, race number and time. This will be fleshed out fully by James later today.
