Mick Rice made a successful return to his beloved long distance racing yesterday in the Longford marathon, finishing in 11th with a 2.55.01. It has been nearly two long years since Mick last lined up at the start line of a marathon & he is clearly getting back to where he wants to be.

In the half marathon we had three members, Aidan Madden, Majella Cummins & Fiona Lane, taking part with Aidan in particular having a tough day at the office. Some erratic pacing groups early on left him overcooked at the 10 mile marker and he struggled the last few miles. It wasn't all bad though as he still produced a 2min PB with a 1.32.30. Majella posted a 2.13.00 whilst Fiona posted a 2.19.16.
