Congratulations to all of Claregalway and the surrounding areas on the massive turnout on Tuesday 04-April for the Claregalway 5K fun-run/walk in aid of the Claregalway and District Day Care Centre with over 300 participants taking part in the 5K fun run/walk. 
First past the finish line was Rob Lennon (Castlegar AC) in a time of 17 minutes and 20 seconds, Ger Hartnett (Tuam AC) was second and David Meehan (Athenry AC) in third place.
Shauna Bocquet (Craughwell AC) won the ladies category with Bernie Mulryan (Athenry AC) in second place and Mary T Duggan (CBC) third lady past the finish line.
Aiden Owens was the first male student from Coláiste Bhaile Chláir and Meabh Clancy the first female student. Full results are also available on
