Jim Leahy and Adam Leadbetter took on the challenge of the Ultra Marathon in Connemara today.
Jim completed the distance in 4:58:06 while finishing in 7th place. (In 2015 Jim ran this race in 5:41:37...not a typo!!). Adam crossed the finish line in 5:24:10 in 18th place overall.
A great result for both men! Lyall Guiney who ran a sub 3 hour marathon in Rome 3 weeks ago, was the first person to cross the line while clocking 2:47:12!
Congrats on a great win Lyall!
Caroline Freeney also took part in the marathon, her first time to run in Connemara, Caroline completed the distance in 4:30:53.
