3. What's your favourite racing distance?

Five miles.

4. Where's your favourite place to train?

Renville out in Oranmore and Dangan.

5. What's your favourite race or event each year?

Galway Bay 10.

6. What annoys you most at races?

People crossing in front of you while you are running.

7. What race, that you haven't yet run, would you most like to take part in?

The New York City Marathon. I was back there for a week this year and had to go home the day before the race. There was a good atmosphere around.

8. What was your best-ever running performance?

19 min 9sec in a 5km in Limerick about 5 years ago.

9. What was your worst-ever running performance?

58 min in the Claregalway 10km about 6 years ago.

10. What's the strangest thing that you've ever seen on a training run?

I saw a man out with just shorts and in his bare feet in the middle of winter.I was wrapped up well with my gloves and cap.

11. Favourite piece of running gear?

MP3 player.

12. Who would you most enjoy beating in a sprint for the line?

Any member of Athenry AC.

13. What was the best bit of training advice you were ever given?

Do at least one long run a week.

14. In ten years time will you still be running?

Hopefully.

15. If for some reason you were told you could never run again, how do you think you'd react?

I would be devastated. I would miss going to all the races.

16. Have you ever been bitten by a dog while running?

No, but came close once or twice.

17. Have you ever had to stop for an emergency 'Paula' during a race?

No, but had to stop a few times for a whizzer.

18. Favourite post-race food?

A nice pint of Guinness.

19. Most embarrassing ever running-related moment?

Finishing last in the Twilight Mile B race in Dangan.

20. The greatest Irish Athlete of all time is/was?

Ronnie Delany.
