1. What running shoes do you train in?

ASICS Duomax.

2. How many miles did you run last week?

32 miles - week 4 of Hal Higdon's marathon programme.

3. What's your favourite racing distance?

The 5k series back in may were pretty good.

4. Where's you favourite place to train?

Good old Athenry on a Saturday morning.

5. What's your favourite race or event each year?

Not running that long but I would have to say the Dublin marathon at the moment.

6. What annoys you most at races?

Not winning (ha ha).

7. What race, that you haven't yet run, would you most like to take part in?

Connemara marathon.

8. What was your best-ever running performance?

I ran a very good 10k in Athenry last week - 44 min which is 6.50 min faster than I ran at Christmas.

9. What was your worst-ever running performance?

Dublin last year.

10. What's the strangest thing that you've ever seen on a training run?

I was overtaken by an ape(man dressed as) in Dublin.

11. Favourite piece of running gear?

My Garmin.

12. Who would you most enjoy beating in a sprint for the line?

Owen Curran - it might take a while for that.

13. What was the best bit of training advice you were ever given?

Cross-train once a week, good for the back.

14. In ten years time will you still be running?

Hope so.

15. If for some reason you were told you could never run again, how do you think you'd react?

Cricket anyone?

16. Have you ever been bitten by a dog while running?

Not yet.

17. Have you ever had to stop for an emergency 'Paula' during a race?

No.

18. Favourite post-race food?

Supermacs.

19. Most embarrassing ever running-related moment?

Can't think of one at the moment.

20. The greatest Irish Athlete of all time is/was?

Eddie the Eagle, sorry Irish, on the track Eamon Coughlan.
