1. What running shoes do you train in?
   
    Anne: Brooks GTS 12 



    Pearse: Mizuno Wave Inspire 8
 
2. How many miles did you run last week?
 
    A: Tough question, as we were on holidays last week, but I try and get in 10 /15 miles per week. Just to keep ticking over.



    P: Zero! Due to injury. Cycling  & swimming at the moment though.
  



3. What’s your favourite racing distance?

    A: I love an 8k race.



    P: 8k 

4. Where’s your favourite place to train?
 
    A: I like the roads around Esker as they tend to be less busy with traffic. Anywhere is good to run as long as its with Assumpta Feeney who keeps me sane, you just got to love Assumpta, Michelle Tooher who keeps me grounded and Kellie O Shaughnessy who makes me laugh.

 

    P: Kilcoran Woods 
 
5. What’s your favourite event or race each year?
 
     A: I like the Craughwell 10 as it is a good indicator of how my fitness level is after the winter.



     P: Hell of the West in Kilkee
 
6. What annoys you most at races?
 
    A: People at the start of a 5k race in front of me who without warning decide to stop running and start to walk and you end up rear ending  them. Not nice.  



    P: The people that I pass at the start, passing me just before the finish. Think that its a pacing issue on my part perhaps.
 
7. What race, that you haven’t yet run, would you most like to take part in?
 
     A: Kinvara Half. They do a nice medal & T -shirt I hear. I am all about the medals.  



     P: Dublin City Marathon
 
8. What was your best-ever running performance?
 
     A: Headford 8k last year.|



     P: Craughwell 10 in 2012
 
9. What was your worst-ever running performance?
 
     A: Dublin City Marathon 2012. Was not anywhere near what I had hoped for. Finished it though, before it finished me.



     P: Killimor 5 mile in 2007
 
10. What’s the strangest thing that you’ve ever seen on a training run?
 
      A: A dog with only 3 legs, which I saw this morning.



      P: Tend to be in my own world out running (weirdo)

11. Favourite piece of running gear?

      A: My Blueseventy Sun Visor, a must in this weather.



      P: Ron Hill Compression shorts

12. Who would you most enjoy beating in a sprint for the line?
 
      A: These days I just want to cross the line.



      P: Michelle Tooher!
 
13. What was the best bit of training advice you were ever given?
 
      A: Keep the sun of your face before and during a run/race. And most importantly STRETCH (Jane Ann)  



      P: Pace yourself. Which I need to do.
 
14. In ten years time will you still be running?
 
      A: Pass



      P:  The way I feel at the moment probably not, but I would like to be. But when I see Peadar Nugent & Martin Keane, they are people that I admire.
 
15. If for some reason you were told you could never run again, how do you think you’d react?
 
     A: Sad and fat?.  



     P: There is always cycling!!
 
16. Have you ever been bitten by a dog while running?
 
      A: No



      P: Running No. Cycling yes.
 
 17. Have you ever had to stop for an emergency "Paula" during a race?
 
       A: During a race no, Training run yes, where I got locked into someones house once. Weird experience and another story for another day  



       P: No.
 
18. Favourite post-race food?
 
      A: After a long training run I find it hard to eat, but when I do I always go for a Decaff Latte & home made banana & walnut bread. That always hits the spot.    



      P: You cannot beat a cup of tea! 
 
 19. Most embarrassing ever running-related moment?
 
       A: It was during the Tri Athlon in Athlone, when I was last out of the water and was well in to the run route when I discovered that I was still wearing my helmet from the cycle. 



       P: None



20. The greatest Irish Athlete of all time is/was?
 
       A: Eamon Coughlan
