News is hitting Athenry that our very own Assumpta Feeney has won the Squat and Deadlift and came 3rd in the Bench at the Irish DrugFree Powerlifting Championships in Dublin today.  These were the single lift championships and Assumpta was competing in the 70Kg SNR womens category.  These results mean Assumpta will now go to the World Championships in Germany in June.  Well done Assumpta, this is absolutely fantastic news.  Now if we can only get a shot putt and a hammer in your hand ....
